Is It Too Late To Save The World?

In recent months people have become more and more aware of the climate crisis which our planet currently faces. Scientists and environmental experts have expressed that the causes of climate change are man made. So surely the only way to cure Earth of this environmental catastrophe is to end human life. Daunting - in this post we hope to present a certain degree of hope and detail potential actions which will ensure the health of humans and Earth can be maintained side by side.

The global temperature is set to rise by an average of 6 °C (10.8 °F), according to the latest estimates. Even if we were to set out on a course of major action to prevent climate change, we are unlikely to experience the positive impacts immediately. According to NASA there is a time lag between what we do and when we feel it. This lag must be accounted for in our pursuit of a more stable environment - and if we actually want to achieve this it seems we may have to start a lot earlier than predicted.

The expiry date of Earth, if we continue on this route, is 2030. That gives us just 10 years to prevent changes to our planet which are irreversible. Luckily for us the required adaptations to our way of life do not take 10 years to be put in place. Change can start right now - from eating less meat to trading in your car for a bike!

So, you read that last paragraph and you are in total agreement with us - we can all change! But if you change will this actually make a difference? The harsh reality is no, one person won’t make a difference by themselves. That is why we urge you to educate and inform everyone you can. No your actions won’t prevent the end of the world, but leading by example? Starting campaigns? Informing others on how they can be better? These actions will save our planet, don’t act like an outcast - be the difference the world needs, and take everyone you can find with you.

It is not too late to save our planet, but every second that ticks by with no action is one less second Earth has. Change can start now. Change must start now.
