WWF

The World Wide Fund for nature is an international organisation which aims to reduce the human impact on our environment. WWF was founded in 1961 and remains the world’s leading independent conservation organisation to this day.

On their website WWF detail the objectives they have in mind when planning their wildlife preservation activities. They state that they are always trying to “help transform the future for the world’s wildlife, rivers, forests and seas; pushing for a reduction in carbon emissions that will avoid catastrophic climate change; and pressing for measures to help people live sustainably, within the means of our one planet.”

We took a look at some of the causes WWF is currently committing to. These causes ranged across the environmental spectrum. From tackling the climate crisis to making our food system sustainable, the charity is really contributing to some excellent causes. WWF also encourage all of us to use our own voice (this acted as encouragement for us to start promoting these charities and organisations).

At Eco Giant, we support WWF due to their outstanding aims and the achievements they have reached to back these objectives up. However, we are further expressing our support because charities like WWF rely on donations. Without donations and consistent support from the wider population then our planet will never improve.

Change starts now. Big or small, it does not matter as long as the change is for the greater good. We recommend donating to the causes WWF commit to as a great place to start.
